WHO WE ARE
Company History
Napa Nutritionals was born out of founders Gretchen Reece Archibald and Juile Hayes' experience working as raw material formulators for large dietary supplement manufacturers. They enjoyed improving the health of their consumers so much that they decided to create Napa Nutritionals to sell their formulas in their our own brand of vitamin supplements. However the groundwork for what would become a new company came much earlier. Working from the formulas and guidance of Gretchen's father Harold Archibald, they sought to create the best products with the highest quality ingredients. The product suite at Napa Nutritionals all benefit from the patented alkalizing formula invented by Harold. Originally, the formula was created as an all natural antacid. The formula was adapted and applied to various vegatables for acidic buffering and later to vitamin C and nutraceutical garlic as a buffering and absorption agent resulting in the formulation of FAST-C and Garli-Eze.
After months of independent clinical study, Nutritionals first product Fast-C was launched in October 2009. Fast-C represented an advancement over all other current vitamin C supplements on the market and was awarded the prestigious Nutritional Business Journal award for Best New Ingredient.
Napa Nutritionals newest product Garli-Eze promises to bring consumers the benefits of garlic in the highest quality form available. Garli-Eze is a buffered garlic supplement that offers the same benefits as fresh garlic without the uncomfortable side effects per a U.S. based clinical study.
With an expanding product line Gretchen, Julie and the Napa Nutritionals team constantly seek new ways to improve the health and lives of their customers. While never forgetting the goal of having consumers find their best health in Napa Nutritionals.

Gretchen Reece Archibald
Company Founder
Gretchen earned her Bachelor of Science degree from UC Berkeley and brings 22 years of business experience in sales, marketing and professional services to Napa. Honing her entrepreneurial skills through several start--up ventures, Gretchen has worked in the technology, software and nutracuetical fields. For the last 7 years she has focused in the dietary supplement and functional foods markets.
In addition to sales, management and marketing FAST-C for Napa Nutritionals, Gretchen manages Nutra Products, Inc., providing nutraceutical garlic to dietary supplement manufacturers and Scientific Food Solutions to providing innovative ingredients with clinically proven efficacy to dietary supplement manufacturers.
When away from the office, Gretchen enjoys cooking for friends, taking in the great outdoors biking, skiing, and swimming. Gretchen is an avid reader and a big animal lover and currently volunteers at a local animal shelter.

Julie Hayes
Company Founder
Julie graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Agri-Business Marketing and has spent the last 28 years working in functional foods, dietary supplement ingredients and the broader food industry. Managing the Garlic Seed Facility for Basic Vegetable Products, a vegetable ingredient manufacturing company helped develop and market dehydrated vegetables for food ingredients and dietary supplements. Working with Pure-Gar to provide standardized garlic supplements to health food stores, drug stores and the mass market, she was instrumental in developing and launching products such as high allicin garlic and nutraceutical broccoli. Her work propelled Pure-Gar to the forefront of the dietary supplements and functional foods markets.
In addition to her work for Napa Nutritionals, Julie manages manufacturing operations and product development for Nutra Products, Inc. to provide nutraceutical garlic to dietary supplement manufacturers and Scientific Food Solutions to provide innovative ingredients with clinically proven efficacy to dietary supplement manufacturers.
